High performance adapters with a 64-bit/66MHz bus, wire speed, and 9kb jumbo frames support, Allied Telesyn's NIC's support the calculation of TCP, UDP, and IP checksums through the hardware platform without time loss by the MAC controller for both transmission and receiving paths—a capability that leads to improvements on overall system performance.
